Wow! Over a hundred kids visited nearly thirty STEM job sites and learning centers.
Grow a Generation facilitated nine unique STEM Career Tour days last year. These all day events include two corporate and one college visit that inspire kids to go deeper into their STEM classes, participate in STEM camps and competitions, and pursue research fellowships to establish connections between the cutting edge of STEM research and the day to day lives of their community! STEM Career Tours open students eyes and connect meaning and purpose to difficult studies.
The program has grown large enough to become its own website and community.
We were thrilled to welcome new teen bloggers Jenna Halenda and Hannah Peacock. as we work to empower them and all the students who have taken tours to keep the enthusiasm high with meaningful project based experiences to immerse them in science, technology, engineering and math skills.

My favorite part is always the teens who weren’t expecting some big revelation or were least impressed with a planned visit walk away with some aha moment and a new motivation.
